NIMS University offers a four years and six months course of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with a one-year internship programme. This course divided into 11 semesters and is taught through the National Institute of Medical Sciences & Research which is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Admission to MBBS course at NIMS is done through a national-level entrance exam, i.e., NEET UG, conducted by NTA once a year in offline mode.

As per external sources, alumni work across multiple sectors such as Education, Healthcare Services, Administrative, Research and others. The Education sector hires 44% of the students followed by Healthcare Services with 19%, Administrative sector with 6%, Research sector with 5% and others sector with 26%.

NIMS University Jaipur is recognised by the Government of India, UGC (University Grants Commission), MCI, DCI, PCI (Pharmacy Council of India), INC, RNC, BCI (Bar Council of India), AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), RPC, COA (Council of Architecture), and AIU (Association of Indian Universities). NIMS Rajasthan is accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers), and NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories).
