TS PGECET otherwise called Telanagana Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test is a state level exam conducted to offer Master's in engineering. Qualified candidates are offered seats in engineering colleges of Telangana.

Admission to the BTech course at IIIT Kota is solely based on the candidate’s JEE Main exam score, followed by the centralised counselling process regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), through which they are allotted a seat. Hence, the OJEE exam is not necessary for admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Kota. Candidates also need to fulfil the eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the course. The eligibility criteria is that candidate mst have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% in Science stream.

IIIT Kota offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD level courses in various specialisations. The flagship course at IIIT Kota is BTech. The four-year BTech programme is offered in two specialisations, namely Computer Science Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. If a student fails an internal exam, then they have to take supplementary exams, which are conducted right after their end-of-year exams and in which they can get a maximum grade of C only. The student can talk to the HOD or dean of the college and also the respective faculty. As this is an internal exam, student can get help from their college faculty.

The conducting body of TS PGECET is Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. It is conducted on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education. TS PGECET is conducted once a year to offer admission to higher studies such as MTech, MPlan, MArch, and ME. Qualified candidates get admission to Telangana universities and colleges.

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply for TS PGECET. For MTech course, candidates should have studied any of the following courses from a recognised University - BTech (Civil Engineering), Planning, BTech (Planning), BArch AIIA, MA / MSc (Sociology/Economics/Geography) or have qualified GATE. For MArch, candidates must have completed BArch or AIIA (in the relevant stream), or they must have passed the GATE exam. For MPharm candidates must have completed the BPharma course or have passed the GPAT.

At Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota, the CGPA calculation is based on the grades secured in the semester exams of subjects. Both SGPA and CGPA will be mentioned in the grade sheet of the semester exam results. The CGPA is computed by dividing the overall grade point average by the sum of the credit scores for all subjects.
