Hi Kriti, For general category, the cut-off rank is 1386. I am afraid, you are nowhere near to this cut-off. However, try for private colleges. They are equally good as well.

Unfortunately, you'll not get any good college of JEE Mains. You might get some private colleges. There is no point taking a private college with this score. Try taking admission through some other examination like BITSAT, IPU, COMEDK, VIT, SRM etc.

Hello Vasantha, The NET Exam is conducted for the lectureship in the colleges and universities and for junior research fellowship award. The NET Exam is held by different agencies for different stream candidates. The CSIR NET is conducted for the Science stream candidates while UGC NET is for Arts and commerce field. Yes, Entrance exams are conducted to judge the knowledge of the candidate in disciples like Quantitative ability, Communication, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, General English, aptitude and attitude to solve basic problems at work place. ILAM accepts the CAT, MAT, XAT and GMAT test scores.

It doesn't matter in which branch you go, because each of them give equal opportunities for jobs and all have a good scope.
