Although, Amity University is a decent University and have recognition of both UGC and AICTE for its different programs but, I would suggest you to not only explore other options for MBA but also visit Amity before enrolling and also check whether the campus in which you are enrolling provides all the UGC recognized programs or not. If required get in touch with UGC office directly to be doubly sure that you are going for a recognized program.
As far as IMI is concerned as far as my knowledge goes this Institute doesn't have any quota or paid seat system. However, I would suggest that you should contact the institute for more up

The said uni. is approved to UGC and the programs under distance education are approved to the Distance Education Council of India, IGNOU and is the member university of Association of Indian Universities. The Degree(s) are accepted world wide since is UGC.
Pramod, AICTE as All India Committee for Technical Education looks for technical courses and MBA is not a technical study. So AICTE approval is not required.
