Dear Student, thank you for the interest in Vrije Universiteit Brussel. The deadline for the academic year 2013-2014 has expired: the online application form needed to be completed before 1st of March 2013 for students requiring a Belgian (or Schengen) visa to access Belgium. For those who already have a Belgian (or Schengen) visa, the deadline was 1st of June 2013. For students coming from outside the EEA*: proof of English proficiency is compulsory and can be documented by the the following certificates (provided by the institution):
a) A document attesting that English is the language of instruction for several courses followed (at least 15 ECTS);
b) A document attesting that at least 1 year of secondary education has been completed in English;
c) A diploma of primary education stating that English was the language of instruction;
d) A language test: only TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, CPE, CAE are accepted.

*A position which all IPS officer crave for is that of a superintendent of police, who are responsible for public safety and security, law and order, crime prevention & detention, traffic control etc.
*IFS deal with the external affairs that include diplomacy, trade and cultural relations.
2. Teaching
If you wish to be a teacher in school, then go for B.ED and crack Teacher Eligibility Test. Eligibility conditions are:
(a) Bachelor's Degree with 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+3 or 11+2+2 pattern, or with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern
(b) Having studied at least two subjects at the bachelor’s degree level, to be later taken as school teaching subjects
Else if you aim at being a lecturer, then I would advice you to go for a regular masters degree in a relevant discipline and clear U.G.C NET conducted mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.
Qualifying Examination:
The candidates those who have completed their post graduation in related subjects from any recognized university are eligible for applying UGC-NET exam. The candidate must have a minimum of 55%.
