Dear Arpita, If you wish to get admission in a good institute or University, you can not afford to shy away from the admission process like entrance tests. Besides this is a base for offering scholarships.
In India, you can not get any Govt scholarship for your doctoral work without clearing JRF. For PhD admission also, you need to appear for the university admission tests. However, if you have NET, you are allowed to directly appear for the interview (exempted from the written tests) for PhD admission in many universities. I would suggest that you sort list universities offering PhD degree in your chosen discipline and then check the admission procedure. You may find some lesser known deemed universities shaving some relaxations. However I would suggest you to avoid that and spend time preparing for the admission tests and get in to a good college. That will brighten your future later on.
