For GD in SICSR, you go through current affairs but if you are lucky enough you would be getting a very general topic. for eg, I had got "should students be allowed to carry cell phones in colleges?" so if your communication skills are excellent, you really don't have to worry. St.Xavier's College (Calcutta) is owned and managed by the Jesuits of the Calcutta province of the Society of Jesus.
So, basically this is a private college.
