Hi Mehul, The conventional way is to go for Bachelors in physics, followed by a Masters and a PhD in physics. But some people (including me) are doing PhD after a Bachelors in engineering. One needs very good understanding of physics and maths as a prerequisite. In the meanwhile, many leading research institutes like IUCAA, Pune organize short term Schools in astrophysics for school students, which should be used by you to get a deeper glimpse of this field.
Cosmologists spend most of their time worrying about the different theories about the origin and fate of the Universe. Astrophysicts read a lot of scientific papers, attend research

First of all, a very heartiest congratulations to you for getting a good percentile. Now, if we talk about your percentile, as I don't know what academic background you belongs to. So, if I consider you as a non-engineer, then there is a high chance of yours getting call from top 6 B-School and in addition if your academic profile, i.e. your 10, 12 and graduation is with good percentage, then you will for sure get a call and if it takes you as an engineer, then the chances of getting a call will get low because engineer get calls mostly in more than 97 percentile.
