No, JEE Mains exam is not mandatory for Admission. Univesity has two criterias one is via JEE Mains and other is the GEEE (Galgotias Engineering Entrance Exam) which is conducted by Galgotias University itself every year.

You can pursue a PGD in Mass Communication or Journalism. There is no restriction for a candidate to take admission in this course. A person from any discipline is eligible to apply for the course. It will depend upon what colleges are you expecting in Mumbai. If you want jamnalal bajaj You will need 99.90percentile and above score whereas if you are happy with Alkesh dinesh you can score 95 and above to get it. It will depend upon your dream to get into a college in Mumbai. Every college has different cut offs. Hope it helps. Aim for the best.

Hi Maran, JEE Mains is one of the most accepted entrance examination for admissions to BE / B.Tech courses. As a friend, I would suggest you to prepare thoroughly for the same. Preparing for the exams within two weeks is not something which is impossible (if you are an intelligent kid) but why take chances? My advice to you would be to dedicate 3-4 hours daily for JEE Main preparations. Also, join a good coaching centre for taking mock tests.
