Depending on the field of your work, the courses, training and certifications required may vary.
Most departments and agencies prefer candidates who have taken some vocational training or who have at least some previous work experience.
You can go for Bank PO exams, a path to public sector banks or you can sit for Civil Services such as I.A.S or I.P.S.

If you wish to pursue the degree just for gaining knowledge, you can go ahead with distance degree.
But if you wish to practice as a lawyer, then the part time education might not allow you for the same as per the rules of Bar Council of India.

To get placed as an intern it will be an added advantage if you know any one working in the company, take their reference.
To apply for internship you need to take a letter from your placement cell stating that you are academically strong and have good behavior and they can refer you to that particular company.
