And the basic requirement for PhD is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.

I would say first concentrate on getting your graduation, from a close friends personal experience I would say having a graduation is must and a PG better. If situation permits go for a full time degree, if not go for distance education. Most companies in India prefer graduation as a minimum for consideration except for BPO's. So if you want a better paying, better faciities job. I would suggest you complete your graduation.
