If you are unable to get placed in a company after your B.Tech you should go for your masters. Doing M.Tech or MBA will be a good option for you however university selected to pursue your course should be having good placement records. Masters can open a lot of opportunities for you. Getting into NIT depends on your rank in the JEE Mains. However in my opinion you should also apply for some other examinations. Also based on your score in your 12 class you can not only get a good university also get good scholarships offered by these universities.
