Yes,starting with the 2024-25 academic cycle, DU's Faculty of Technology is filling all BTech Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, and Electrical Engineering seats through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG). Your Class12 marks still matter for eligibility, but the merit list rides on your CUET percentile, not the old cut offs game.

With an AIR of 128567 in JEE Mains under OBC-NCL category, your chances of getting into core branches like CSE, IT, or ECE at most IIITs through JoSAA are very low. The closing ranks for these branches usually fall well below your current rank.

Previous Year OBC-NCL Cutoffs for Core Branches in IIITs are:

InstituteBranchCutoff
IIIT Jabalpur CSE5700
IIITDM KancheepuramCSE6000
IIIT VadodaraCSE9500
IIIT DharwadCSE12,150
IIIT KalyaniCSE12,800

I suggest you to:

  • Explore non-core branches or specialised programs in newer IIITs if available.
  • Participate in all rounds of JoSAA counselling, including spot rounds.
  • Consider GFTIs and state colleges where the home-state quota may help.
  • Look into reputable private universities that accept JEE scores.

If you are cautious about the branch you are choosing and if its CSE then you might get some state government colleges assuming that you are a general category student, colleges like SLIET and other regional colleges will get you a CSE but if you are okay with any branch then you can easily get NIT at this rank.

Since you have a 98.83 percentile in JEE Main, there are great chances of computer Science (CS) branch in various good NITs. Although you may find it quite competitive to secure CS in the best NITs like the Trichy, Warangal and Surathkal, chances are you will get CS in NIT Delhi, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Durgapur, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Patna, NIT Raipur, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Goa, NIT Silchar and NIT Andhra Pradesh. Your prospects are better still, when you have a home-state quota or fall under one of the reserved categories. Make sure that the cut offs of the previous year are looked up in JoSAA counselling.

With JEE Mains EWS rank 16462 there are good chances for you to get admission in Top NITs like NIT Trichy, Surathal or may be in NIT Bhopal but it would be very difficult to get the Computer Science branch because it is the most competitive branch among all. You can assure to get admission to NITs like NIT Patna NIT Durgapur NIT Mizoram NIT Sikkim NIT Raipur it's important to participate in JOSAA Counselling which is responsible for admission to IITs, NITs and IIITs.

Having ranked as PwD category 527 in JEE Main, you get a very good opportunity to excel and obtain B.Tech in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in best Delhi colleges in home state quota. Closing ranks in institutes such as DTU, NSUT and IIIT Delhi are usually much lower in the PwD category than in the general categories of applicants. To give an example, the earlier PwD centralized home state cutoffs of CSE in the IIIT Delhi were between the range of 1.6-4.5 lakh. To get the maximum opportunity to get admission, you must keenly attend JAC Delhi counseling.

With 85 percentile in JEE Mains it would be difficult to get Top NITs but you may have chances to get low cutoff and new NITs like NIT Patna, NIT Durgapur, NIT Mizoram, NIT Sikkim, NIT Raipur, NIT Goa and NIT Meghalaya, don't expect for IITs or IIITs because there are cutoffs are very high and competitive. You may get some Government Funded Technology Institutes GFTIs like Assam University, Pudducherry Technological University.
