M.Tech. (Artificial Intelligence) is also a four-semester course including two semesters of course work and two semesters of project work. This programme is meant for students already well equipped in computing sciences and as such imparts advanced training in all the major areas of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, such as machine learning, data mining, etc.
Admission to M.Tech. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology courses is based on a written test followed by an interview. The written test consists of objective type questions. Syllabus for the test will be in Computer Science subjects that include Computer Programming (C and C+), Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Computer Organization, Digital Electronics, Computer Networks, Engineering Mathematics and General Aptitude. The short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
GATE percentile will be the basis to call the students for written test. Following table summarizes the cutoff for various categories of applicants having valid GATE scores to be called for written test:
