You can get a seat but you have to appear in counselling procedures which is 70% seats are filled through university-level counselling based on marks obtained in class 10+2 and rank obtained in JEE Mains. Selection parameter and weightage:
10+2 marks - 75%
JEE Mains - 25%
Remaining 30% seats are filled by the university based on the marks obtained in class 10+2.

As far as the prelims (Part A of the exam) is concerned for NID entrance exam, you need to read news articles online and solved previous years papers of CEED, NID and NATA (MCQ questions). Further, preparing for this section of NID DAT includes understanding the areas of design and strengthening them.
To prepare for part B of NID Entrance Exam, please practice sketching questions related to different scenarios, perspective, people, places, expressions, articles, etc. Additionally, aim at achieving a sketch which is visually distinctive, well narrated and balanced in terms of composition.
