NET JRF exam is conducted to get fellowship in the field in which you wish to pursue Ph.D. The exam is conducted twice a year. If you belong to Science back ground then exam is conducted by CSIR and details you can get from csirhrdg. Res. in site, but if you are from arts or commerce back ground then exam is conducted by UGC and there are some fields in Science such as engineering then exam is also conducted by UGC.
