You will have to appear for an aptitude test conducted by IIFT itself. The aptitude test generally judges your mental and reasoning capabilities alongwith your language skills. There will also be a creative ability test wherein your creativity, imagination and presentation skills will be evaluated.

If you want to pursue a career in finance, you can definitely go for it. In order to fulfill the eligibility criteria, you should have completed your class 12 with maths/statistics as a mandatory subject. There is no different criteria for a science student. There is separate admission procedure for students from states other than Tamil Nadu (Tamil Nadu). Following are some of the major differences between both the courses:
1. The students pursuing B.Com will have a study programme that will have the overview of all the subjects in the course field. The subjects taught to students in both these programs will be same. But, those pursuing a degree in B.Com won't be able to specialize in a specific subject unlike those pursuing the degree of B.Com (Hons).
