Anyhow, if you plan to go for Law as a career after completing your 12th/ Junior College, well Law is certainly one of the core fields of the legal system of the country. If you are keen then you will require to pursue LL.B and for which the minimum requirement is a Graduate degree from a well known University and only after which you can apply for the LL.B course, or if you want you may look for the integrated course that is of 5 years duration called B.A. LL.B.
There are several institutes in India offering LL.B/ B.A.LL.B and to get admission in the same one requires to qualify the entrances like CLAT conducted by the NLS institutes.

IAS is a services offered by the Government of India and to get this position, you will require to qualify the IAS exam that is conducted by the UPSC. The exam consist of two phases - CSAT (preliminary/ objective type exam) and Main (Descriptive/ essay based).
The forms for the UPSC 2011 are already out and if I remember correctly the last date for application was yesterday i.e. 21st March.
Although applying for the UPSC this year may not be possible but then you may start preparing for the same and appear in the next year.
