Both degree and diploma are awards conferred on to a person on the successful completion of an educational course. However, there are several differences between both the terms and cannot be used interchangeably.
1) Only universities can offer Degree Programmes: In India only those institutes which are affiliated to a university can offer a degree. Ideally after B.COM, you should go for higher studies like LLB, M.Com, CA or CRISIL Certified Analyst Program (CCAP) or in banking sector like Diploma in Banking & Financial Services(HDBFS).
