Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Seeing present scenario computer Science is far better than aerospace engineering in India. For aerospace only service based companies are there so work and salary can never satisfy you. Aerospace engineering requires a lot more analytical skills than computer Science. If a person is really interested in aerospace engineering and he is confident that he'll be the best engineer then only he should opt for aerospace engineering and after graduation he must go for higher studies then only aerospace engineering can be beneficial. While CS engineering provides a lot more opportunity. As we can SEE we are moving towards digitalization, everywhere we are seeing computers. Scope of computer Science is much better than aerospace. I will suggest you CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) and ECE (Electronics & Communication Engineering). After passing out from CSE, you will have the scope of doing computer programming and develop software. After passing out from ECE, you need to work on Electronic devices. You also have the scope of programming Integrated circuits (ICs) and make them work in the way you want it to. You have immense scope in VLSI.
I may refer you University of Engineering & Management (UEM) under IEM group for these courses. Students passing out from IEM and UEM from both these branches are working all over the world in top positions. They are working in Honeywell, IBM research, INTEL and all top multinational companies.
Govt of India, MHRD, NIRF has ranked IEM group as 3rd in Bengal after IIT Kharagpur and NIT Durgapur. The top 4 of Bengal within 100 in order are:-
1) IIT Kharagpur
2) NIT Durgapur
3) IEM Kolkata
4) IIEST Shibpur (Formerly BESU)

Dear aspirant, I would suggest you to go by Computer Science stream rather than IT. We have observed that IT students find it hard to get their first job entry compared to computer Science students. Observation is that IT students cannot pursue many of the higher studies that are available for Computer Science students. Please understand that these two courses, through related to computers, are not the same. In fact, you can take up the jobs available in IT sector with a computer Science graduation but the vise-versa is not possible. So, my good word is to go by computer Science. Most of the experts say, there is no difference between CS and IT. It is just that CS is taught as an Engineering level course in major Universities. In case if your choice is Computer Science, then you must take up Mathematics and Science in high level to require Computer Knowledge. Hope it helps.
