Finance, business administration, accounting or economics are the preferred fields for a career in the banking domain. Math skills in addition to strong oral business skills also play an important role in being a good professional banker.
While an MA in Economics will equip you with the technical skills, also consider the possibility of an MBA degree as it will take you a long way.

You have to appear for entrance exams for hotel management after your 12th. National council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology conducts joint hotel management entrance exam every year in April for the 800 seats in different Govt institutes in 30 selected cities of India. Both are exactly in the same league. It's just that YMCA-Faridabad is exceptionally famous for mechanical engineering. Still, I don't see any big difference between the two. Almost similar (if not same) companies visit both YMCA and Murthal. Placement data may vary from year to year. And either of the colleges may have a minor lead over the other.
