How is Merit List Compiled for NEET 2019? The eligibility criteria for the compilation of NEET 2019 Merit List is determined on the basis of guidelines as directed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India. The eligibility is laid out as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations 1997. The determinants of NEET 2019 Merit List include the following terms:
An applicant must attain minimum marks of 50th percentile in the qualifying entrance exam, I. e. , NEET 2019. Aspirants must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks with Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, and English as compulsory subjects. Though the number of candidates to be included in the merit list are pre-determined but if the required number of candidates fail to do so, the central government in consultation with MCI and DCI may lower the minimum required marks at its own discretion. What is Mock Counselling/ Seat Allotment in NEET 2019 Counselling Process? Mock Counselling or Indicative Seat Allotment is an option open for the candidates to get an idea of the seats they can get based on their choices and rank. After a few days of counselling, the candidates will receive an SMS or Email regarding their allotted course and college. The allotment will be done based on the candidates rank, category, and preference filled during counselling. Being completely honest, the placement for CUSAT last year 2016 for CSE was about INR. 10 LPA the highest and INR. 7.46 LPA in average, I don't think this is a realistic representation of CUSAT. The reasons being that the students that entered college 4 years back and the quality of students coming now is drastically different, if u just take a look at the cutoff for the past few years and its clearly rising (nearly by half). Very good companies have come for placement at CUSAT like oracle, google and other e commerce companies like amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. But, the thing is very few students qualify the interviews and end up with jobs, the main reasons being good programmers don't break the 8.5 CGPA criteria and those who break it don't do well in interviews for their lack of programming skills. There are exceptions and those exceptional students have cracked the interview and got placed in good companies like there a student this year who got placed in IBM with an INR. 36 LPA package, and several others have also got good placements in off campus recruitment that don't get reported by CUSAT. So, if you are worried about placements, you don't need to as I think more and more companies and lot more students will get placed in the coming future.
