Lovely Professional University offers scholarships based on the LPUNEST (National Entrance and Scholarship Test) scores obtained by the candidates. The scholarship amount varies depending on the marks obtained by the candidate in the test.

The qualifying marks for LPUNEST varies between 30% to 40% for different courses.

LPUNEST Cutoff is the minimum score a candidate requires to be eligible for availing LPUNEST scholarship at Lovely Professional University for particular session. The cut-off marks can be judged based on the previous year cut-offs. The scholarship is awarded to those students who score more than or equal to the cutoff marks.

The cut-off is based on the number of applicants, number of vacant seats, average performance in the entrance test, and last year’s cut off. After the cut-off is declared, a Merit List is prepared on the basis of the candidates’ score in the entrance test.

The scholarship percentage varies programme-wise as per the students' scores. For each category of scholarship, 1-3 brackets of Scholarship (Brackets 1, 2, and 3) are defined. Each bracket represents specific criteria which an applicant must fulfil, for him/her to fall in that particular bracket. Criteria in bracket 1 are the most strict and the conditions are relaxed in subsequent brackets and the scholarship is also reduced in each next bracket. So, the students meeting the requirement of Bracket 1 (top bracket) get the highest scholarship and those in Bracket 2 or Bracket 3 get a relatively lesser scholarship.
