I'll mention some of the most common options taken up by students:

  • Many universities offer this course, you can google it. You can apply to Indian universities (DU, IITs, Indian Statistical Institutes, etc.) and foreign universities as well. For foreign universities, you'll have to write an exam known as GRE.
  • You can write management exams like CAT, GMAT, XAT, TISS, etc.
  • With the growing demand for statisticians in the market, Master in Financial Statistics or Master in Data Analytics courses are providing students with a Statistics background and a great scope of professional growth. Many foreign universities are providing th

The Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (formerly Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology) (IIFPT)[1] is a pioneer Educational and R&D Institution under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI[2]). Hello Vijay Kumar,
It's nice to see your percentile at 63. But whether you will get a chance to appear for JEE Advanced or not will be decided only after the second set of JEE Mains exams are conducted by the newly constituted NTA. This is so because some students can appear second time and best of the two scores will be selected to decide the merit list. Hence my advice is be patient and wait for the results of the second set of exams in April. In the meantime, you may also think of appearing in April again to improve your percentile that would be a better course of action to take.

Hello Anuj,
Taking a gap of 2 years itself will not be considered against you when you apply for a job, but surely any recruiter will like to know what you did in these two years. If you can give a correct and cogent explanation of what you did, then it will not be counted against you, however, remember in these two years many more engineering graduates of the mechanical branch would have entered the stream for the job and you will have to compete with them. But fundamentally speaking if your knowledge is good & if you have done something worthwhile in these two years of your hibernation I think you should get a good job.
