After diploma in engineering you may join lateral B.Tech course and can directly enter into the second year. You may go for correspondence course.
List of lateral entry colleges (correspondence) :

Any Commerce Graduate with 55% marks or more
Non Commerce Graduate with 60% marks or more
CWA and CS inter passed students.
