The scope of automation is very wide. If u r from electrical. electronics & communication and instrumentation feild, u should go for this training. Now automation is used in each and every company where machines are involved and some or other process is involved. It is done through PLC, SCADA, HMI, DRIVES etc. . chances of getting placed after this training are higher. Now u can go in building automation/home automation also. Beleive me it is a bright feild.

After completing B.Tech you have 2 options:
1.To opt for a job.
2.To opt for further studies (MBA, M.Tech etc)
However, as per your profile I would suggest you to work for 2-3 years after completing your B.Tech and then opt for further studies.The advantage of this step would be:
- You will gain relevant work experience.
- After working you will know which course to pursue that can further enhance your career prospects, i.e. if you wish to build your career in technical field, then you may pursue masters in same or related fields, whereas if you are interested in management then you may pursue MBA.
