Textile engineering is one of the famous engineering which is differ from general engineering. You can got it in IITs and NITs along with several regional government colleges. It has still scope however it get some declination in demand but academician and industrial people working on it how demand should be maintained and the wage to engineers should high.
Petroleum engineering is good but only few institute offers it like IIT roorkee, Aligarh Muslim University. It is very less scope in India however high demand in middle east.Instead of it you can choose chemical engineering. Biotechnology is not a bad branch but you may face less job

It will be a tough call for you to get a seat into NIT but you should wait for the counseling and result, I would also suggest you to apply for some other colleges so that you are not left out at a later stage. Some best colleges are still accepting applications for engineering programs. Some suggestions -

Just pass marks in PUC and a 60/180 in cet is more than enough to get you a seat for civil engineering. But , those colleges ain't good. So, at least a 80% in PUC and 90/180 will somewhat get you a moderately good college. To get into a topmost college, you gotta get at least 90% in PUC and 120/180 in cet . Hope this helps.!!

Dear Shivangi,
Congratulations, There are no of good colleges with good placements but the only thing you must consider before opting is most of the institutes are offering PGDBM which don't allow you for further studies unless it is AIU approved.
Considering your score i will recommend you to seek admission in these colleges,
Christ university, Bangalore, Alliance university, Amity Noida, IBS-Hyderabad , IBS- Gurgaon, Singhad- Pune.

St. Joseph College is a good college to pursue engineering. It has a good placement record as well as average overall rankings. You can proceed with the admission in the college. However there are even better options available which you should go for. If you are eligible for Joseph then you can also apply for some other better colleges if you want and may also avail scholarships. Giving you a few suggestions -
