thats quite a huge rank i recommend u give a year gap and study really hard and do well in the next year.otherwise if u have good % in +2 u can always study Bsc(maths/paths/chem) and later do sum teaching jobs.dont take Bsc if u arnt getting from good colleges such as ju,st xav or presidency coll.thank u

You may even opt for :

2.Institute's infrastructure.
3.Teaching faculty.
4.Specialization offered.
5.Past placements records.
Regarding placements I would suggest you to contact the admission department of the above mentioned institutes, and request them to provide you the details of number of companies visited their institute for campus recruitment, average package offered, and highest package offered to students.
