The candidate must hold a Bachelors Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (It may also referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelors degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelors degree. To do MS in Finance in a good business school in USA, you must have a GMAT score of atleast 600 and TOEFL score of 600 atleast (paper based test) or 100 (computer based test). Top business schools like Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Wharton, Chicago, Michigan, Columbia, NYU, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UT Texas, Virginia, Dartmouth have very tough entry requirements. You must be a university topper or amongst the top performers academically in your undergraduate course to get admission in one of the business schools listed above. If you are not in this category, but you have secured good marks, you can try for universities like Washington University (St Louis, Missouri), University of Maryland, University of Florida (Gainsville), Emory State University (Atlanta), Indiana University, Iowa State University, Michigan State University, University of Rochester (Rochester, NY), Pennsylvania State University, Syracuse University (NY), Vanderbildt University etc. This is just a small list of good universities where you can do MS Finance in US. Yes you can learn it while pursuing your Masters. But as a friend I would suggest you to go for a German language course before you leave for Germany or pursue your masters. Reason being, it will help you t find a part time job. A student in Germany can work 90 full days or 180 half days.
German is not a difficult language and you can learn it in 4-5 months.
