The ICAR releases ranks for students who selected ICAR as an option during their CUET UG registrations. Following this, the official course cutoffs are published roundwise. The ICAR 2023 cut-off ranks for SKUAST Jammu are not very high, for the General category its is around 1529 to 5176, whereas for reserved categories it varies from 8236 to 11458. 

Tier 1 colleges or universities include top IITs and IIMs whereas tier 2 includes top government and private universities and colleges. 

SKUSAT Jammu is a tier 2 University, as it is one of the top govt. Universities to study Agriculture and Science. 

Very few companies visit the university campus, there are no such placement programs in the university. Training and internships are offered by prestigious universities. Top recruiting companies are Bayer etc. 

Students get internships in the best companies all over India but there is no such placement programme offered by the University. Student needs to find a job in their own in most of the cases as the placement cell is not so active.

SKUAST Jammu, being a govt. university provides good placements than any other. Universities all over India has great placements, but it all depends on one's capabilities and skills. 

The maximum package provided during placements at SKUAST Jammu is around INR 28.07 Lacs per year for postgraduate students, that is, in the 2-year M.Sc. course. This shows the strong focus of the university on quality education and industry relations. The placement figures show a strong placement cell that provides job opportunities to students in different sectors, leading to the competitive salary packages. In total, SKUAST Jammu's placement activities and industrial partnerships improve the chances of the graduates for profitable careers in agriculture and allied domains.

 As per the NIRF report, 153 UG and 113 PG students got placements in 2023. The median package offered to the students is around INR 5.34 LPA and INR 8.46 LPA. An upsurge of nearly 12% was recorded last year. 

The fee is refunded to the student after deducting 1000 Rs. within a specific time period. 

If the deadline surpasses the fee is not refunded at all.
