Game Design or any form of Design covers various application softwares like Photoshop, Flash, Max etc. It is a skill oriented field which requires practical inputs rather then just learning. It should not be learnt through Distance.
CG(Computer graphic) Skills could be learnt by attending contact classes in a full time or part time mode. Further one has to practise the application softwares with projects/assignments to Master the Art of Game Design or any such creative application. Game design is used in Mobile application, Consoles, Computer Gaming etc and learning differs for the kind of medium preferred. There could be few distance education programs available but it with the option of having Study Centre to attend classes. Distance learning is good for Knowledge enhancement after aquiring foundation skills

Mostly creative aspirants enters Animation for their Passion. Money follows the talent. If you have the abilities to prove your talent by creative top-class Animation Short, you will surely find lot of takers of your skills. Industry has space for Operators as well as Creators. Both gets similar treatment during start. Range could be 5-20k.But growth is exponential for Creative Artists

Multimedia is integration of multiple means of communication. Usually for Fashion Design segment, working of text- graphics and colors is sufficient and most such designers do a course in Graphic Design and Visual Communication. However, if you wish to use your skills on a wider platform, application area includes Animated Content for International Studios, Production houses for Vfx, Animated Films & Feature Films, Home Entertainment (Television Channels), Ads (Animated content in Ads), Education (e-learning), Virtual Walk-through, Internet (Web Design & Animations), Designing & Simulation, Gaming (Console, Online & Mobile Games) etc
Before learning, do ensure that you are creative and passionate about it.
Digital Media or Multi-media calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, and creativity to technical prowess.
