You have not shared your academic details. However, the eligibility criteria for PhD varies for every institute. The basic requirement is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.
However the cut off percentages vary. Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require atleast two Research Publications for the PhD programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
*Your PhD interviewer needs to be sure that you are academically capable and can rise to the challenge.

Hi Sandeep - Vmware is into Virtualisation and Cloud infra technology. You will be dealing with servers, desktops and Datacenters. Cisco is into networking domain which need not need any explanation. Both courses are hot and actively pinged by the job consultants. if you want to work with servers, datacenter etc., VMware is the choice. if your passion is towards networking you can certainly choose CISCO.
