Hi Darshil, As far as I know, one needs permit (proper visa stamping) in order to work in Canada. If you are getting a student visa to Canada, then I guess you may not go earlier than the stamping dates (as specified by the college/university).
On the other hand, as a student, you can take up some part-time jobs.
Because of the high dignity of work in the western world, I feel you can get some good incentives while you study.
