GIBS IRE School (Innovation, Research & Entrepreneurship) — GIBS runs a dedicated “IRE School” which includes an Innovation Lab, Research Lab, Entrepreneurship Lab.

Structured “research + innovation + entrepreneurship” programme — For students (especially PGDM, and by extension some BBA batches) there is a programme under IRE where, over three trimesters, they have credits for Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship. Final deliverables may include “real‑time research / business plans / prototypes / product ideas / market‑research outputs.” 

Faculty research culture and publications — Many faculty at GIBS are actively involved in research and publish in peer‑reviewed journals (including Scopus‑indexed ones). 

Live / industry‑linked projects & “Practice School” model — For PGDM especially, the curriculum mentions “industrial project‑based learning”, live projects, internships — which often involve problem‑solving, case‑studies, and industry‑oriented research/work.

Support infrastructure: labs, incubation & startup support, research/innovation centers — GIBS maintains labs and centres for research & innovation, provides access to digital libraries/databases, and has an incubation centre (useful if research leads to a prototype or startup).
