Well the scope would depend upon your career plans. If you take English then you need to aim at either getting into Govr Admin services through UPSC or state PSC exam or excel in the studies, do M.Phil / PhD, clear UGC NET exam and become a professor. If you are cut out for this then go ahead with English literature subject. If yo utake commerce then aim for being a CA and then be prepared to make a career in the corporate houses. Both have hige scope in their respective areas. You need to excel and reach the target and cash in the scope to the best of your abilities.
