Animation and Digital Media segment is rewarding but demanding field where your creative abilities & passion for the medium will hold the key to growth. Learning Software alone won't help you. First acquire artistic skills on paper, then learn application software's for expressing skills in the Digital Medium.
Animation calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, and creativity to technical prowess.
If you wish to learn only specific editing tools then consider learning Image Editing using Photoshop, Video Editing using Premier, Avid, Final Cut Studio, Sound Editing using Sound Forge, Audacity, Lame. You may also learn vfx tools like aftereffects, nuke, fusion, silhouttee etc.
Digital Media and Animation related programs are offered by lot of Government Colleges and Autonomous Institutes & Universities in India as well. Few top notch institutes in the field are NID & IIT- IDC who offer UG and PG programs in these segment.

And yes Chetan,The choice of stream is depends upon your choice and interest and future career plans, If you want to go in the Research field then you should cholle the M.SC in Biotechnology, But if you want to go in the mangement realted jobs then you should go for the MBA course.
Biotechnology is one of the developing technologies and the need for biotechnology student is also high. Of course u can try for the other career prospects like MBA-Biotechnology. MBA-Biotech has bright prospects. It is a 2-year programme in management. Only science stream graduates/ those in their final year of graduation can only apply for this course. This course gives equal emphasis to both Biotechnology and management. In India, University of une(PUMBA), Amity Institute at Noida are the preferred institutes for this course.
After MBA-Biotech, you can join Bio-pharma companies, Pharma companies, Biotech companies, Foods companies, Bioinformatics sector, Agri-companies, etc.
Orelse,If you want to continue your career in M.I.S. You can opt for M.S in M.I.S.
But very few institutions offer this course.
