Hi Nishant,
First of all please tell me why you want to switch to IT from such a better field of engineering. It's really strange to hear.
If you really want to switch, you need to do nothing, but, to learn a Computer language. Either: Java. .net, html anything you want to. You will be surprised to know that facebook recruits Programmers, even if they find a Mechanical Engineer a good programmer, they recruit him/her.

For getting success in ICWA exam, you must have 3 qualities :
Dedication
Discipline
Determination
***Tips for getting better results-
1. First 25 marks question are just one word answer question and hence are very crucial for any student.These questions are considered easy.
2. Go through revision test papers and books provided by ICWA even after completion of your course.
3. Refer institutes material and RTPs. Don't neglect these as many questions are asked from these which are exactly same.
4. Question are not very tough and lengthy, you only need to have patience and

B.Tech. / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or its equivalent .
Those appearing in their final year examination can also apply.
However, they must submit their degree / provisional degree certificate at the time of counselling.
Age Limit : For Non – sponsored candidates the age limit as on 1st July, 2013 is 27 years. No age limit for the sponsored candidates.
