Hi Ma'am,
Aerospace engineering deals with designing and building machines that fly. It is one of the newest branches of engineering, and began in the 19th century with the first experiments in powered flight. Specialist in IT is not enough. You have to be the best in other things also. AI is hot right now, or at least parts of AI are hot: vision, deep learning, big-data mining, language technologies, biomedical applications of AI, robotics. Lot of companies are hiring, and there is a shortage of people with experience and training in this area. Good luck.
