Taking a management degree is just a path towards gaining an Interview. Whether you succeed in the interview or not is entirely based on you rknowledge of the subject and the exposure that you may have had in the subject area. Now a days, as you mentioned there are lot of institutions who offer courses in distance learning mode and some of them are even not fully recognised. Your friend is undergoing the course from a known university, So i dont think that she might have issues with job interviews.
