Before taking this discussion further, i want to ask you 1 question. Why do you want to shift your field from mechatronics to industrial. You definitely are eligible to pursue the same, however, why do you want to shift? Please let me know!

Dear Divyansh,
After the 1st year you can not change your college or the university, I am afraid. See, in the first year, yes, it depends on the college but it can be changed or the seats can be mutually exchanged, but after a year it is not possible. As far as the NITs is concerned, the NITs are central bodies and state colleges have no relation with the admissions there.

Dear Kashish,
Both of the streams you are thinking of, are the damn good ones. You will get the job, it is a certainty, but you have to put the hard-work. Well Aeronautics is very scarce in the colleges but if you get a good rank, you can opt for it.

It depends on the management course. If you are applying for a MS in management or a MBA, then you can be from any background, but if you are applying for specialization courses like MS marketing, etc. you may require a BBA background.
Hope my answer has solved your query. If it has, kindly mark it as best answer.
