Hello SV Murthy,
You indeed have scored quite well in your class 12th, then what happened in CET? 56 percentile is comparatively very low. Remember, in the January schedule of JEE Mains, there were more than 100 students with 100 percentile. If you are thinking of getting this branch based on JEE Mains percentile then I am afraid you are in bad luck. NIT's don't offer this branch and you won't be able to make it to JEE Advanced based on this percentile. However you can attempt this branch in your home state if it accepts CET from which you got this percentile. Best wishes to you.

Yes, it is better option to take ceramic engineering in NIT, Rourkela and upgrade it to mechanical or chemical as there is a lot of demand of ceramic engineering also, so if you might not be able to upgrade to the chemical also you have a great career ahead.

Hello Yatender Kumar,
Firstly, your question appears to be of theoretical nature because National Testing Agency has not yet announced its results and without that, no student can know his all India rank. 0k, be that as it may, but let me tell you that it is simply impossible to calculate the OBC rank based on the All India Rank because there is no mathematical relation between these two. I would strongly advise you to wait for a few days since National Testing Agency is expected to announce the date for the result in a day or two which is expected to be before the end of this month.

Hello Yatender Kumar,
National Testing Agency would be announcing its results before the end of this month. It is expected that some announcement, officially, will be made in a day or two about this till then I am afraid it's not possible for anyone to convert all India rank into OBC rank because these two are different sets of people and there is no connection mathematically between these two. In view of this, I would advise you not to get worried and wait for the announcement by NTA. Best wishes for your good performance in JEE Mains.

Hello, in case of just a "satisfactory" GD-PI, chances are a bit less since generally there is a lot of competition for the PGDM core programme. Don't lose hope, though, and keep praying for the best.
Good luck!

IIM-Lucknow cut-off is around 97 percentile and if you are an OBC category student then you can get a call at 94 percentile also.
Now, what are your chances? It depends on your preparation for CAT. If you are preparing daily and in the right way then you have 100% chance as you have 7 or more months before the exam which is plenty. Prepare properly for GD/PI and get into one of the IIMs.

I think yes, they might consider you. But, it will be quite good, if you appear for the entrance test conducted by KIIT. If both, then that will be much better. So, all the best.
