Not a problem at all. JSSCMS (SJCE) considers 50% of students through government quota i.e; through PGCET and the rest, 50% is through management. The only difference is the fee amount of Rs. 1, 00,000. If you are joining through management seat you will be paying Rs. 5,00,000 as total tuition fee Rs. 2,50,000 per annum. So, if you are considering SJCE as your priority among all the different colleges, then do it at earliest.
Get in through management seat.

Have you gone through any university website? You should first check the admission requirements and also check the different type of MS programs. Some are research based and some are course based. Again there could be M. Eng. Or M. Asc, entry requirements are different. Gaining admissions into a very highly ranked university could be competitive. You may also be required to take the GRE. Additionally, recommendation letters and your motivational letter will also be considered.

Without details on your profile, it is impossible to suggest how you can make your profile. The only tip I can give is firstly you decide what to study and accordingly search for universities in many countries. Check the budget, admission requirements and match your profile. You must take study abroad entrance tests, it depends on your programme and level of study. While applying you must also submit documents like essays, recommendation letters, financial evidence, etc.

Hello Rohit Kumar,
There is of course reason why any agency conducting examination gives ranking in different categories as well as overall ranking. For general category student, it makes no difference whatsoever because he doesn't belong to any category he belongs to general category. However, as you said in the example if you belong to SC category and the cutoff is set at 2400, then if your rank is better than this then only you will be allowed to apply else you cannot. Now, cutoffs are generally decided based on the total number of seats available in that particular category and a multiple thereof. Best wishes to you.
