Candidates wanting to get admission to MVJ College of Engineering can follow the steps below:

  • Pass and score well in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 
  • Students who score well are called for counselling
  • The minimum eligibility criteria include passing Class 12. The main subjects in Class 12 include English, Physics and Maths along with Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Electronics, or Computer Science. 
  • Students can also apply for the BTech Lateral entry if they hold a Diploma from a recognised institute/university.

B.Sc in physics is a popular option and could be one of the best if you want to do higher studies and research in Physics, in your case it's going to be optics I believe. Score well in your B.Sc, you can also look for MS options abroad for better prospects.

Arpit don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies.
