All depends on your Interest because choosing Branch is much Important You Learn many things in Next 4 years and Also work in same nature for whole Life so I suggest you If you got low rank in NIT then you can Join but important thing is that you should never compromise with Branch
If you can't get branch according your interest then never select NIT college or go for any private college.

B.Sc in hotel management and BHM have almost the same course curriculum, so you may consider pursuing any of these courses. They have provided the opening and closing rank of last year's admission.
You can compare your rank and predict the colleges you might get.
There is no constant cut-off. Every year it changes but it is assumed that it will be similar as the previous year.

Tezpur University BTech admission is based on the candidate's performance in JEE-Main. Candidates willing to take admission in BTech at Tezpur University should have passed class 12 or SSC with a minimum of 60% aggregate.

First of all relax. There is no shortage of engineering colleges in india where as there is a shortage of students. The point lies how to choose the perfect college according to the marks. First check the college of your state if you are getting government college there its well and good else you con sit for OJEE in order to get a government college in Odisha. There are many government, semi-government and private colleges like LNMIIT Jaipur, Jaypee Noida, Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune, Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai, Vidya Bhavans, Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai, all IIITs, Jadavpur University and many others too.
