CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY is Setting New Benchmarks in Placements for Hotel Management and Airlines-Tourism students at Chandigarh University
Worlds top Tourism and Hospitality management company, Walt Disney selected 41 Hotel Management and Airlines Tourism students during campus placements at Chandigarh University. It has been 5th consecutive year that Walt Disney has recruited Hotel Management and Airlines Tourism students from Chandigarh University as the multi-national had selected 5 students in 2014, 10 in 2015, 11 in 2016, 25 in 2017. A total of 106 International & National chain of Hotels, Airlines and Tour & Travel Management companies selected 294 students from University Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management (UITHM) at Chandigarh University. There has been a jump of 20% in number of Five Star Hotel Chains which recruited the Hotel Management students while there is an increase of 30% in number of offers as compared to last year. The total number of offers touched 343 which included 53 offers from top notch five star international and national hotel chains. The highest package offered during campus placements is 18 LPA offered by Walt Disney, USA. A total of 104 offers were made in the field of Food Production (Chef) with the highest package offered of 4.1 LPA, while 127 offers were made in the field of F&B Services and Front Office in which the highest package offered touched 6 LPA.
