Hi Deepika, You must take the SAT or ACT and TOEFL to be considered for admissions into Bachelor degree programs in USA after 12th. Apart from these tests, you must have very good academic grades, a first class is required, extra curricular activities etc. It is a good practice to keep checking university websites for admission requirements and overall processes and prepare yourself mentally and academically.

forget about NIT'S , u r gonna get admission only in private universities or in good rtu colleges with great donation.
before opting for engineering just ask one thing to yourself that do really u have deep interest or the will to master a specific branch otherwise years later you will also be among those who say engineers die 'berojgaar', so it's better to think deeply about your interests now rather than getting into depression later.

Hello Chithkala, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a good branch at SASTRA where there will be a demand for it like mechanical, IT, etc. It deals mainly with software related studies so that you can be easily placed in top companies like Microsoft, TCS, etc., provided you have great skills. The course is good so you may opt for it.
