Hi Alpa,
To be become IAS you need to sit for UPSC examination which is conducted every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited.
To be eligible :
1)You should have a degree of graduation in any field from any recognized university.
2)Your age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively.
3)You must be an Indian citizen.
The exam is conducted every year in the month of May and June and its main exam is in the month of December.
The notification for the exam comes out in the month of January end.

Hi Jyotika Mahajan. The major intakes in Australian universities are February or July. Some universities also offer November intake. The university that you are looking out to pursue your education does not offer November intake.
