IIT, Roorkee offers Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) Programmes: Candidates with a PhD degree in Science, Engineering, Humanities or Management with first class in the degree preceeding to Ph.D. with at least two publications in refereed journals. Candidates who have recently submitted their doctoral thesis are also eligible to apply subject to the condition that they will furnish the proof of award of PhD degree at the time of interview.
Selection Procedure for admission in IIT Roorkee 2012-13
Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) Programmes: The candidates called for interview shall make a presentation of their research plan before the selection committee in the concerned academic department. The selection committee shall interview the candidates and discuss their research plan in detail.
How to Apply for admission in IIT Roorkee 2012-13:
Rs 200 will be charged from all categories candidates. Separate application must be sent for separate departments/centres and for each department/centre separate fees will be required with each completed application form
The candidates for admission to PG/ PhD/ PDF Programmes are required to download Bank Challan Proforma from the website mentioned above and then deposit the requisite fee in any branch of Punjab National Bank throughout the country. The Bank Challan will be printed in triplicate and candidates are required to pay the fees through it. Bank will retain a copy and will return two copies to you. In those two copies, retain the Candidate's copy with you and attach the IITR's copy with the application form. The Fee will not be accepted through any other mode.
After applying online, duly signed Application with appropriate enclosures must be sent by Speed Post (preferably) or by Registered Post to The Chairman, PG ADMISSIONS OFFICE, INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ROORKEE, ROORKEE-247667

1. I would advice you to go for graduation- B.COM, B.B.A, B.A Economics or B.A in Accounts and Finance. Further apply for the Bank PO exams or go for MBA in Banking.
You may also go for Diploma or Certificate Courses in Banking and Finance or even gain National/Bombay Stock Exchange Certifications simultaneously with a bachelors degree in relevant discipline.

Qualifying Examination:
The candidates those who have completed their post graduation in related subjects can appear for the exam. Those who have acquired post graduation from any recognized university are eligible for applying UGC-NET exam. The candidate must have a minimum of 55%.
Age Qualification:
The candidates appearing for JRF should not be above 28 years of age. The candidates appearing only for lectureship have no upper age limit. Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/OBC or physically disabled or women or visually handicapped.

If you fulfill the below mentioned criteria then you are eligible to pursue the course.
Eligibility Conditions for M.Sc. Computer Science Course :
1) B.Sc/B.E. graduates perceiving the higher qualification are admitted to M.SC. Computer Science having studied Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Science / Computer Application as one of the major subjects with atleast 50% of marks.
2) B.C.A with aggregate of 50% and above.

Few good institutes that might interest you are Technische Universität München (University), Braunschweig University of Technology, Technische Universität München (University), Kiel University of Applied Sciences, University of Paderborn, etc.
The universities mentioned above are recognized by government and this can be authenticated or cross checked with DAAD. DAAD is officially authorized to provide information about education in Germany. They have offices in major cities in India.
Also, I would like to say that education in Germany is govt. funded so you may have to give a very minimal fee ranging between 140- 500 euros.
The living expenses may cost upto 740 euros.
For admission you might have to give GRE and IELTS / TOEFL as per the university requirements.
If possible go for a German language course as it will help you find a part time job. A student in Germany can work 90 full days or 180 half days.
