Honestly, I don't know much about Manipal University, but Thapar Institute is one of the oldest institutes and according to me, is the best of all if considered for Engineering. This is my personal experience as 3 generations of my family is alumni from Thapar Institute. MBA will surely have good scope in any country. However, you have to understand that it is a management course and you should have the intelligence to be a manager. You know your weakness and strength. Yes if you have attitude to become a manager you can do it. Also remember if you are fresher you may not get managerial job without any experience. Hi Nitin, there is no reason why you cannot apply. Your experience is varied and universities in US likes variety. It's how you convince them, explain them the challenges you faced, what you learnt from your mistakes and why you want to study now. A very strong SOP will be required and some good recommendation letters. You must take the GRE too for applying to American universities. All the best.
