Hello Hafis,
While computer science engineering, equally covers both hardware and software aspects. Information technology engineering and software engineering has a lesser focus on the hardware aspect. However, this difference hardly matters as universities frequently keep updating the syllabus for each branch.
Unless and until, you get a job in a hardware manufacturing company like Intel, Logitech, etc. this little difference in the syllabus hardly matters. At NICMAR, the applications are scrutinized and eligibility is established on the basis of documents submitted. The eligible candidates will be invited to appear for the selection procedure, which comprises of NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT), personal interview (PI) and rating of application (RA).
The details are mentioned below:
Total marks: 250 marks
1. NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT): 150 marks.
2. Quantitative and analytical ability: 60 marks.
3. Data interpretation: 30 marks.
4. Verbal and general ability: 60 marks.

Both are reputed institutes and getting best placements is my concern. Therefore, the average salary offered at PIBM is Rs.5.1 LPA and highest package offered is Rs.11 LPA.
The lowest package offered at MS Ramaiah is Rs.3.5 LPA, average package is Rs.4.5 LPA and the highest package offered is Rs.14 LPA. Now, you can choose the best.
