Hello Sunil, I can understand your anxiety and angst for the admission of your son after he has completed his Diploma in mechanical engineering. Unfortunately for lateral entry directly into second year of four year degree courses every state has laid down eligibility rules indicating which branches of Diploma will be eligible for which branches of engineering degree.
